Surgical Procedures in Clarksdale office

These treatments include:

We also are able to perform a number of dental procedures in young children by taking them to the operating room of the Northwest Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Although we do this in certain circumstances, we feel that it is a less painful and a less dreadful experience for young children who need major dental reparations.

Surgical Procedures in Grenada Office

Dr. Latonya Ware, located in the Grenada office, also administers dental procedures of young children in the operating room of the Grenada Lake Medical Center. Once again, although this is done in certain circumstances, we do feel that an actual surgical procedure is a less painful experience for young children who require major dental reparations.

Wisdom Teeth or Third Molars

Wisdom teeth (or "third molars") normally don't appear until around the ages of 17-24. Most people have four wisdom teeth, while some people have none. Wisdom teeth may or may not cause you any problems. Extractions do not need to be performed if the growth of wisdom teeth is normal. However, the wisdom teeth will need to be extracted if they are impacted or grow in sideways.

Because there is little room in the jaw for wisdom teeth, this is what causes the problems. The wisdom teeth become wedged or "impacted".

Some of the problems associated with impacted widom teeth are:

  • Infection
  • Jaw & Gum Disease
  • Cyst Development
  • Decay of adjacent teeth

Make an appointment as soon as possible if you have any of the following symptons:

  • Facial swelling
  • Infection in the mouth
  • Intense pain and soreness of the mouth
  • Swelling gumlines in the back of your mouth
